Lindsay Lohan is one of the most controversial stars in Hollywood. She had gone through several controversies and even went up to jail and did community service. Lindsay’s physical trademarks are her freckles, raspy voice and red hair.

Lindsay Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 in New York City and was raised by her parents Dina and Micheal Lohan. At the age of three, she became a model of Eileen Ford Agency in which she appeared in about 60 television commercials.

She made her first acting in the TV drama series Another World in 1996. After appearing in the said drama series, she was handpicked byNanacy Meyers to portray a role in an adaptation of a novel by Erich Kästner. Meyer is an Oscar nominated writer and the adaptation is her very first directorial debut during that time.

Lohan attended Cold Spring Harbor High School. She did good in math and science
subjects however, after grade 11, she was then home schooled. While growing up, the actress has seen how her parents separated and reunited. Her parents separated when she was three years old then later reunited. The two separated in 2005 and finalized their divorce in 2007.

The first movie that Lohan appeared in is The Parent Trap in 1998. It is basically a remake of the same movie in 1961. The movie made Lohan gain several acclaims and awards. She has achieved Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film, widespread critical claim, and a YoungStar award nomination.

The young actress soon signed a three-year movie contract with Disney. She starred in Life-Sixe in 2000, Get a Clue in 2002, and Bette (also in 2000) in which she starred Bette Midler. She also starred in the movie Freaky Friday in 2003 that gained 160 million in worldwide box office receipts. The actress also won the 2004 movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, another Young Artist Award nomination and a Saturn Award nomination.

In 2004, the actress starred with the title character in the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. The movie is a Disney adaptation of Dyan Sheldon novel. Although the movie received various sarcastic reviews, critics were impresses by Lohan’s acting as Lola.

In 2004, Lohan starred in the movie Mean Girls in which the movie earned $86 million in the US. She also starred in the movie Just My Luck in 2006 in which she received $7.5 million salary. In that same year, she starred in the Disney fantasy movie, Herbie Fully Loaded Companion.

The actress launched her own fashion line in 2009, entitled, 6126. The fashion line produces and designs women’s leggings. In addition, she also released her own tanning spray line called “Sevin Nyne”.
